Sylvie of Chez Plum has a great resource on French translations for knitting patterns for those of us who are in love with French patterns or Marie Claire Idées but realize that high school French class didn’t cover knitting terms. I especially love her dictionary which also includes the French phrases for common knitting techniques. Link.
